Where all should I travel while backpacking to europe for 27 days?
I'm going backpacking to Europe in January for 27 days landing in Germany and will have a global eurail pass, I was wondering where would be the best places to visit in late January early February to get the most out of the 27 days. If anyone could give me a little insight about this I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you
What is a good backpack to use for travelling around Oz? ?
Hi,I'm going to Oz at the end of the year on a working holiday & plan to do quite a bit of backpacking up the East Coast, etc.I am based in the UK & intend to only take a backpack of belongings with me on my trip plus a bit of hand luggage for the flight . Can anyone recommend a good quality backpack that is appropriate for this kind of travelling? I am a mid twenties female & my only experience of using backpacks to date is taking relatively poor quality ones to music festivals with me. I also suffer from a bit of a dodgy back & really want to make sure that I purchase a backpack that won't make my back even worse. Any tips would be much appreciated. Cheers
When backpacking through Europe, is it better to bring regular sized shampoo/conditioners or travel sized?
I'm leaving on a 3 month long backpacking trip for Europe in a couple weeks, and am torn between my normal shampoo and travel sized ones. I have long hair, so the travel sizes usually only last me 3 4 washes, 5 if I push it. Therefore, I know it's more cost effective to bring a full size shampoo, but it's heavier and takes up more space. Anyone with experience in this area have any suggestions?Also, if I bring the big one, I plan on sticking it in a ziplock bag to help in case of a spill...any other suggestions as to how to prevent a spill in the first place?Thanks
My backpack has a drawstring instead of a zipper, so I can't lock it. Is it safe for traveling abroad?
I am backpacking in Central America for 4 months. I will mostly be in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. I have a standard internal frame camping backpack that looks similar to this ems.com catalog product detail square.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd id 845524442596887& FOLDER%3C%3Efolder id 2534374302881156It has a top that can expand as you add more stuff, and it closes with a drawstring. There is a flap with a pocket on it that covers the drawstring and buckles down. Is there any way for me to lock this type of pack? I know safety guidelines of how to take care of your belongings when they are with you, but I would normally lock my luggage when its at the hostel, on an airplane, etc. What should I do?
