Backpacking

If you could go backpacking anywhere where would you go? How long would you go for? What would you bring? Would you stay in city's or go into the wild? Would you go alone or with friends? ECT.

A dream of mine is to backpack from Paris to Shanghai or Los Angeles to Buenos Aires. Pretty crazy dreams I know but it would be a fucking experience. I would want to go with a friend or two because it makes the journey that much more memorable and safer too. I would probably bring tent and sleeping bag along with a couple shirts, a stove, first aid kit, and a couple of other things. I would probably stay mostly in cities because we wouldn't have a car, but being in nature would be pretty sweet (Man vs wild style). Trips like that would at least be a 1-2 years if we really wanted to enjoy the trip rather than rushing through it. One day. One day.
