Is there a website that will make a itinerary for backpacking through europe? ?
im going to europe this summer but im having trouble figuring out which dates to book in hostels. i know traveling can take a while and i can't figure out how much time i'll spend on trains. i don't want to book a hostel for a day that i won't even be there. is there a site that will help make an itinerary if i tell it where i want to go and how much time i want to spend there?
Recommended backpack brands for my first backpacking trip in Chile (10 days)?
I'm female, 5' 1" , 130 135 lbsThe hike will be pretty light 10 days, 6 hours day.I only need a 3500 cu for the trip, but might consider getting a 4000 or 4500 just so i have a bigger one for future trips.What brands should I look at? I was told Osprey is a good brand, but the frame has been known to snap after being handled on airlines, so I should look at Gregory. That's all I've got so far I appreciate any related advice as well Thanks
CANOEING OR BACKPACKING!?!?
i am in such a pickle okay, so i go to this camp called camp Widjiwagon. it sends groups of about 4 or 5 kids and one counselor into the wilderness. you advance in levels every year, and next summer i will be in the Explorer level. in past years, i have done both canoeing and backpacking. they were both amazing but this year i have to decide between them, because which ever one i choose i have to keep with. it is a 21 day trip, and i need help deciding i would canoe in the crownlands of canada or backpack in wind rivers utah. would you choose conoeing or backpacking?sorry, wind rivers are in wyoming not utah
Backpacking in the UP of MI?
I would like to go backpacking in the UP of Michigan. I know there are groups with guides, sometimes free ones, that include hiking and learning survival. If there is any information out there about finding and or joining a backpacking adventure, someone point me in the right direction Also, what are the best spots to visit in the UP?
Is it completely necessary for me to have a guide to backpack in the Rocky Mountains?
I am 19 years old planning a backpacking trip to Colorado in the spring, we have all been on other weeklong type trips in the wilderness, and I have even been to the Rockies. All other times we have had a guide, but are thinking that it would save us money, as well as allow for more freedom to be out there on our own.
